Sindh Declares Ramadan Timings for Educational Institutes



The Sindh Education Department has, with the consent of the steering committee, altered the schedules for when classes are held in schools.

According to the information provided, beginning on April 1 and continuing through October 31, the new hours of operation for schools will be as follows: Monday through Thursday and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.


On Mondays through Thursdays and Saturdays between the 1st of November and the 31st of March, school hours will be from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with the exception of Fridays, when they will be open from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.


In addition, there will be distinct schedules for schools to follow during the month of Ramadan. During this Holy Month, the school day will begin at 7:30 in the morning and end at 12:00 in the afternoon on Mondays through Thursdays and Saturdays. 

On Fridays, however, the school day will run from 7:30 in the morning until 11:00 in the morning. A revised timetable has also been distributed to schools that operate on two different shifts.
